About

the sculpt method is an intentional pilates practice that can be accessed from our lakeside studio to your very own home. we combine fluid movements with strengthened poses with the use of reformers or mats in ways that range from simple to challenging- we meet you where you are. sculpt aims to provide accessibility to a form of exercise we consider magical.
Reformer Pilates
The reformer is the heart of Sculpt- a dynamic, versatile piece of equipment that takes pilates to the next level. each class layers technique, alignment, and purposeful sequences to help you build strength, improve mobility, and move with ease. with seamless transitions and targeted flows, no two classes are ever the same, yet every session leaves you feeling stronger, taller, and more connected.
Mat Pilates
mat classes bring pilates back to its roots. using just your bodyweight (and occasionally small props), these sessions are designed to deepen your core strength, improve stability, and enhance control in every movement. our mat classes are powerful in their simplicity- challenging yet accessible, and the perfect complement to reformer training.
our goal?
consistency. reformer pilates allows a range of skills and capabilities that makes this the perfect workout for everyone from beginners to experts. the sculpt method utilizes simple and effective routines that become an effortless addition to your daily life. it encourages a deep connection to yourself and your body while providing the necessary foundations to build and improve on your own practice. we want you to know that the sculpt method is here for you on your best and brightest days- ready to take on the world (and a new pose variation), and on your lowest days- needing comfort and soft familiarity. we want you to know that we are here for you.

teal Farquhar has always been deeply passionate about health and wellness. with an advanced diploma in physical fitness management from Cambrian college in Sudbury, on, teal laid a strong foundation in her career as a personal trainer, gaining invaluable experience connecting with clients on their own wellness journeys. it was during this time that she discovered pilates.
eager to share the transformative power of pilates, she obtained her mat pilates instructor certificate. continuing with her thirst for knowledge and wanting to know more about the body and how to create and maintain health on a cellular level, teal furthered her education and earned her diploma as a registered practical nurse (RPN). working in an OBGYN clinic provided her with a unique perspective of the health challenges faced by many women- specifically back pain and pelvic floor issues.
it was clear to her that pilates can significantly enhance the quality of life for those experiencing these ailments. motivated by this realization, she made the bold decision to transition from nursing to fully embrace her passion for pilates. she achieved her pilates reformer instructor certificate and opened her first reformer studio. today, she is dedicated to helping individuals improve their lives through the principles of pilates- empowering them to overcome physical challenges and embrace wellness.
